Archmore Gardens Pre-Prep is the vision of Stuart Bamford, who is also the founder of Chelsea Pre-Prep, Grand West Pre-Prep and Kingsland Pre-Prep - named top 6 schools in the world leading innovation and creativity in education by WISE. Our first Rocket Productions Pre-Prep opened in Chelsea in 2009, and since then, we have established a prestigious reputation for educational excellence and have passionately care for children and families in London as well as navigating parents through the London 4+ assessments and next schools.
About us
-
Rocket Productions has a longstanding reputation within the community with all of our other three Rocket Pre-Preps being rated Ofsted Outstanding. Our teachers are well known for their professional knowledge and the high quality teaching and learning experiences they curate. A quote from one of our Pre-Prep’s Ofsted Inspections really summarises it: “Staff are highly skilled and knowledgeable and demonstrate a deep understanding of how children learn”.
Since our first Pre-Prep opened in 2009, Rocket Productions has reimagined the learning landscape. We believe that schools should not just be a place where children sit waiting to be filled in with information but a place of adventure, exploration and discovery. Backed by research showing that 'awe and wonder' activate our brains, we transform our spaces into 'theatres of learning' where joyful and memorable childhood experiences are crafted.
Each Pre-Prep is meticulously designed ensuring they are Enabling, Balanced, Curated and Rocket! So children feel safe, inspired, motivated and enabled to access and enjoy nursery life.

Part of our ethos is for our teachers and children to make a positive contribution by engaging with the wider community, throughout the years, we have collaborated with organisations such as Little Village, Felix project and many local initiatives. For every full uniform our parents purchase, we donate a starter kit to a local family in need via Little Village. Beyond our classrooms, we extend our educational ethos through Rocket Earth, a global initiative sending Rocket teachers abroad to volunteer and offer professional development, foundational and vocational skills for children, and parenting coaching. This initiative nurtures a global community, connecting our Rocketeers with international peers, reminiscent of the old days of Pen Pals but with a modern, impactful twist.

Did you know we were awarded as one of the 6 schools in the world leading educational advancement through progressive and creative education? The Rocket Approach merges hands-on enquiry with project-based learning. The four cardinal Rocket values - Be Imaginative, Be Brave, Be Creative, and Be Kind - serve as the compass for our pedagogical framework, shaping the personal, intellectual, academic skills and dispositions within an educational journey that is dynamic and forward-thinking. Our approach, underpinned by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), fosters a child-centred education where adults and children collaboratively engage in the inquiry process, sparking curiosity, creativity and critical thinking as they draw conclusions based on their experiences.
“Children thoroughly enjoy exploring the carefully planned environment in an unhurried atmosphere” - Ofsted. Low ratios and high quality interactions allow our teachers to get to know children really well so they can use their professional knowledge and formative assessment to plan a good balance of child-led and teacher-led learning as well as joyful play.
Our Rocket Pre-Preps proudly employs full-time specialised sports and dance teachers instead of having external teachers dropping in every now and then. Our team have developed an exclusive full-day curriculum developing children’s physical literacy as well as fostering confident, well-rounded individuals through appreciation of the arts and encouraging self-expression through music and performance.
We have also developed our own set of Rocket practical skills for everyday life tasks as well as a ‘Rocket camp’ for our older children which focuses on environmental citizenship, rewilding and nurturing the connection with the outdoors and nature. At Rocket we believe it is incredibly important for children to play and learn outside every day. We refer to the environment as the ‘third teacher’ as the outdoors provides children with opportunities for physical activity, freedom and movement, taking risks, promoting a sense of well-being, learning about the world around them and connecting with nature. Our outdoor spaces are equipped with lots of natural resources, loose parts for creating and building, sand and water, mud kitchen, gardening and planting areas and P.E resources.
